How Lessons Are Structured

Every policy below exists for the same reason: consistency builds real vocal progress, and clear expectations make that consistency possible for both of us.

None of the three lesson options include traditional makeup lessons. That's not a scheduling convenience, it's built around what actually helps a student grow. Progress comes from steady, weekly work, not from cramming two lessons into one after a missed week, or reshuffling a season's worth of planning around occasional absences.

Tuition already includes three bonus weeks for exactly this reason, so consistency is protected before anything even goes wrong, you don't need to ask, and I don't need to track it.

How Tuition Works

Tuition is not a per-lesson rate. It's a single enrollment fee for a full year of consistent, weekly access, your saved time on my calendar, your materials, your spot in the recital, and the kind of ongoing relationship that actually builds a voice over a season, not a semester.

Because of this, tuition isn't divisible into a dollar amount per lesson, and missed lessons don't carry an individual credit or refund value. What you're enrolled in is the year, not the sessions inside it.

What's Included

Payment

—  $305/month for 12 months, billed and charged automatically through Auto Pay

—  Full-pay and split-pay options available on request

Tuition is billed across all 12 months of the year, including the summer months when the studio isn't in regular weekly session. This is intentional: it turns a school-year's worth of lessons into steady, predictable monthly payments, rather than large bills concentrated only in the school year.

Enrollment Term

Tuition enrollment is for a full year. Once enrolled, a family is responsible for the full year of tuition, including any remaining monthly payments if lessons stop before the year is complete.

This exists so your weekly time can be held for the whole season, and so the season itself can be planned and paid for at the start, rather than negotiated lesson to lesson.

Enrolling Mid-Year

If a family enrolls after the season has started, tuition is recalculated based on the weeks remaining in the season (not the full 37), and the family can choose to pay the recalculated total in full, split into two payments, or spread evenly across however many months remain before August.

How Punch Cards Work

A punch card is four lessons, paid for at the time of purchase, with no lesson slots held on the calendar unless you actively schedule them.

Punch cards expire six weeks from the date of purchase. There are no makeups and no extensions; once the four lessons are used, or the six weeks pass, the card is complete. A recital fee applies if a punch card student would like to take part in the recital.

How Single Lessons Work

Single lessons are booked and paid for one at a time, with no ongoing schedule held. The rate is $140 per lesson. Tuition-enrolled students receive a discounted single-lesson rate of $105 for any additional lessons they'd like to add, such as extra audition prep.

A recital fee applies if a single-lesson student would like to take part in the recital.

Lesson Notice

While no lesson type includes formal makeups, I ask for as much advance notice as possible if you know you'll need to miss a lesson; it helps me plan my week, even though it doesn't change your enrollment.

Studio Closures

The 37-week teaching calendar already accounts for standard school breaks and holidays. Tuition and payments are not affected by these built-in closures.

Late or Failed Payments

Auto Pay is required for all tuition and punch card enrollments. If a payment fails, you'll receive an automatic reminder, and I ask that it be resolved within 5 business days to keep lessons on schedule.
